Skills of an Occupational Therapist
Khan’s Occupational Therapists (OTs) regard each person as unique, and we create personalized treatment plans for home, school, work, and community to bring out a person’s strengths and encourage development in challenging areas.
Our team of Pediatric Occupational Therapists are highly personable and engaging. When learning is fun then a person’s attention, focus, planning, organization and regulation skills function better. We provide in-clinic, in-school and virtual intervention and consultations for children, infants, toddlers & adolescents in person or remotely.
Occupational therapists focus on enabling infants, children and youths to perform their daily activities and tasks as independently as possible. These activities can include anything from writing and grasping (Fine Motor skills) to playing and walking (gross motor) to feeding and dressing (Self-Care skills). OT's can also assist with attention and focus, visual perception and sensory needs such as sensitivity to light, touch or smell.
