Khan Team Spotlight

Nausheen Khan

Chief Executive Officer Speech-Language Pathologist

We build relationships with our clients and provide meaningful services to help them learn physical, motor, adaptive and communication skills... but also we help them learn life skills.

Nausheen KhanChief Executive Officer Speech-Language Pathologist

With an inquisitive nature, a wealth of expertise in the industry, and an instinct for entrepreneurialism, Nausheen Khan started her practice, Khan Communication Services, in Edmonton, Alberta in 2002. At that time, Nausheen realized that the number of families needing support with autism spectrum disorders was increasing, and so she invited other experts including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and behavioural experts to join her team to better support the growing needs of the communities around them. Schools in Northern Alberta contacted her to help them provide integrated and coordinated services to their students.

Now an agency providing a full range of Allied Health Services to families and schools in and around Treaty 6, Khan Services is known for their years of experience, professionalism, and for their ability to adapt and cater to the changing needs of their clients.

Nausheen graduated from McGill University in 1992, and started her career as a speech-language pathologist at the Hospital for Sick Kids in Toronto, Ontario. From 1995 to the early 2000s, she co-authored and presented several journal articles and programs in the industry and around the world. She served as President of the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists from 2011-2012. As President, she helped launch the first Universal Newborn Hearing Program in Alberta. She was also the recipient of the Alberta Rehab Innovative Practice Award in 2009, and the Community Practice Award in 2013. See more of Nausheen’s achievements and accolades on LinkedIn.
